Paul Zilkey, President and Founder
Paul is a strategic healthcare sector leader, business builder, relationship management expert, collaborator and transaction specialist focused on developing and implementing strategic financial and human capital plans involving new growth or refocusing.
Presently, Paul is primarily working with growing, medium to large, multi-location dental care, medical office and pharmacy business operators in Canada. Paul’s healthcare experience includes leading the establishment of a private finance vehicle designed to fund the debt requirements of privately owned dental practice and pharmacy owners growing through acquisitions in Canada, negotiating a multi-million dollar equity investment in a privately owned chain of pharmacies in Canada, assisting a large financial institution in Canada develop and grow its loan portfolio in both the pharmacy and dental practice sectors, sourcing and negotiating the acquisition of several dental practices in Canada on behalf of investor dentist groups, assisting a medical office group bid on the acquisition of a large and growing cardiac center and recently doing due diligence on and providing capital services to privately owned technology platforms providing AI driven services to both physical and virtual pharmacy organizations. Paul has developed an extensive network of colleagues and entities involved in all facets of the dental, medical and pharmacy sectors.
Prior to focusing on the healthcare sector, Paul spent 12 years with TD Bank where in his last two years as an executive he developed in excess of $500 million in new corporate finance business. Paul's industry experience at TD spanned several sectors including commercial and residential real estate development. Shortly after leaving TD he founded and managed a private debt fund focused on providing working capital to high growth, R&D focused software, life science, digital media, traditional media and entertainment businesses. In addition to developing expertise in climate related finance Paul has also acted as Interim CEO and CFO at small to medium sized businesses refocusing their operations and along the way been engaged to raise capital for several businesses in various technology and traditional industry sectors.
